Feel like singing? Come and visit Gica on Thursday 8 or 15 September to watch, listen or sing along. Whether you’ve sung in a choir before or just want to see if it’s something for you: everyone is welcome at these open rehearsals. We rehearse from 7.30 pm to 10.00 pm in the Oosterkerk (E. Thomassen à Thuessinklaan 1).
In the coming six months we will start working on the ‘On both sides of the Alps’ project. This project consists of works from (present-day) Germany and Italy. The composers who will be featured on this theme are (among others) J.S. Bach, Schütz and Pachelbel on the north side, and Monteverdi, Lotti and Palestrina on the south side. We will conclude this project with a concert in the winter of 2023.
