Next year is a special year for Gica: our 55th! What a great milestone. And in celebration of this lustrum year, we have a beautiful lustrum logo to unveil!
To make the most of our lustrum year, the Gica board and its many committees are busy organising all kinds of fun activities, parties and a number of great concerts. So, this year we will be singing James Whitbourn’s Annelies (based on entries from Anne Frank’s diary), giving a Best of Gica performance (a collection of pieces from Gica’s repetoire over the years) and, last but not least, performing the opera Dido and Aeneas by Purcell. It’s going to be a full year! Fortunately, our permanent conductor, David van Roijen, is here to keep us on track.
If you weren’t that familiar with Gica and now think “Hey, I’d like to sing along to all of those nice pieces”, then of course you can! Come and get to know us during the KEI-week (10–14 August) or during our open rehearsals (3 and 10 September).
